It seemed like spooky preying mantises and other sinister beings were exploding inside it. My dad explained the science of it, the mirrors and such, and then I could simply enjoy the way patterns expanded and collapsed.

Only very high-end toy stores carry kaleidoscopes any more and they're not so cheap. My daughter had to be content with a hand-me-down from her daddy (I think mine was handed down to my nieces).Laurel Garverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03657218435228802535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1557206396584621274.post-41402711270667284862014-04-14T06:15:26.249-04:002014-04-14T06:15:26.249-04:00Love kaleidoscopes - so fascinating.

It was very simple without much pattern as it was only a 1/2" wide. But I remember the ones I had as a kid and I loved playing with them. Makes me think I should check out eBay for one just for fun. Thanks for bringing back the memories of childhood, seems so far away.

Brenda Williamson

www.AnEclecticAuthor.blogspot.comBrendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18048257347599322737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1557206396584621274.post-70908003763740126202014-04-12T19:19:44.255-04:002014-04-12T19:19:44.255-04:00That's funny!
